The 1999 Summer Program focused on NASA Math/Science Education Projects, Integration of the WWW into the Classroom, Creating Webpages and NASA's Learning Technology Program. In addition to the training, the program included field trips to the NASA Educators Resource Center,
Virginia Air and Space Musuem, IMAX, and 2 days of training from Apple Educational Specialist. The summer program was funded in part by a grant from the North Carolina Math/Science Education Network's Eisenhower Program. Mrs. Valerie Knight serves as the Eisenhower Coordinator for Halifax County. Summer' 99 Educators's imaginations soared as they visited the Virginia Air & Space Center. They marvelled at NASA artifacts including the Apollo 12 Command Module and a three billion year old moon rock.
