Network Security: Workshop covers Firewalls, Viruses, Security for Internet Information Servers, Password guidelines, Web client and blocking web access to potentially objectionable material.

Planning a USENET Site: Workshop for system administrators who wish to set up a USENET news service, it covers the history of USENET, obtaining server software, setting up the server and accessing a news feed.

A Guide to LAN Cabling: Workshop covers the basics of cabling selection and installation techniques. Twisted pair cable, Coaxial cable, Baseband cable, Broadband cable , Fiber-Optic cable and Wireless networks.

SNMP: Workshop for system administrators covering the architecture, functions, command structure, variables, fault detection, configuration management and products available for Simple Network Management Protocol.

Network Startup Kit: Tutorial guiding participants through the steps necessary to put together a simple Local Area Network, covering both acquisition and installation of hardware and software, and troubleshooting. No previous knowledge of networking is assumed.

Basic Operation and Management of TCP/IP Networks: This entry level workshop gives an introduction to Internet Protocols, addressing, name resolution, network management and dial-up Internet Protocols.

Network Components and Design: This entry level workshop begins with an explanation of the different components of a network, such as cabling, routers, bridges, etc., and then goes into a discussion of using these components to design a network, including consideration of environmental factors.

Pulling and Terminating Cable: Workshop covers the basics of terminating Cat V wiring and punch down boxes. Tool will be provides for workshop participants. Safety concerns are discussed as well as techniques for installing your school or business LAN.

Workshop is 2 hours in length.
