Classroom

"The Internet has been called many things, including difficult to use. But many thousands of educators have overcome that challenge and been richly rewarded by a wealth of educational resources. Now, thanks to the proliferation in the past year of graphical World Wide Web software, educators and students can enjoy an ease of use and a level of excitement that's never before been a part of the internet.

Recently, educators the world over have begun to realize that the World Wide Web is more than just an easier way to navigate the Internet. They've discovered that the Web actually adds personality, depth, and breadth to the information on the Internet. And the ease with which new information can be added, often with graphics, sound, and video (and real time audio and video), has unleashed legions of a new breed of electronic publishers who energetically mount reams of new information on the Web every day. This new type of publisher includes historians, business professionals, educators, research lab scientists, universities, libraries, medical centers, etc."
