NREN

NREN's vision is to create a next generation network testbed that revolutionizes end-to-end applications for NASA missions and the Nation. Earth Sciences: Interactive distributed image spreadsheets facilitate advanced visualizations of very large databases such as those produced by the Earth Observing Satellite. Developing next generation networking technologies to meet the networking demands of the future is too risky, too long-term and too complex for any one Federal agency, the private sector or university alone. Advancements in this field will therefore rely on partnerships among the government, industry and universities.
