Using and
Modifying
CGI Scripts

Oct. 7, 1999
Participants included those who don't have time to learn C++ or Perl but still needed the processing power of CGI scripts on their Web site. Participants learned how to enhance the processing power of their site with ready-to-use scripts they can modify and use right away.
Topics included:

  • Obtaining free CGI scripts on the Web
  • Manipulating a CGI script
  • Creating a visitor counter
  • Adding random image displays to your site
  • Creating a remote control window
  • Processing and responding to interactive forms
  • Creating a Web site search engine
  • Creating an online store
(Workshop was a joint effort between Elizabeth City State University, Fayetteville State University, Norfolk State University, Bennett College, Virginia State University and EEI Communications)
