Organizational and Management Staff

The NRTS is staffed with both full time and part-time positions. ADNET systems provides one full time engineer who maintains the local area network and provides Help Desk services to both HBCU/MI and K-12 partners. The network manager is assisted by two lab managers. The network team receives assistance from undergraduate students on the system administration team.

Training is provided by a staff of adjunct and professional trainers. A K-12 training staff of 6 teachers assist the NRTS in conducting workshops and addressing precollege inservice needs. Professionally led workshops are also a part of the NRTS training schedule.

Earth System Science activities are under the direction of a board of 4 individuals including the principal investigator. The board met twice during the 1997-98 academic year.

The NRTS principal investigator organizes and directs the NRTS programs. She organizes training programs to achieve routine use of Internet/WWW for research and educational activities at partner institutions, community centers, and K-12 schools in the NRTS Region. She provides required reports to NASA and pursues commercialization initiatives.
