SKYMATH a flexible curriculum module that includes guidance and tools for exploration plus a collection of resources and activities that use weather and real-time data to teach math concepts. Three North Carolina Middle Schools use SkyMath.

Affordable Technology to Link America's Schools (ATLAS) The Langley ATLAS Initiative providies a scalabile, supportable and sustainable server for K-12 school networks. ECSU has a MOU with Langley with regard to this project.

Global Learning and Observations to Benefit the Environment (GLOBE) The goals of the GLOBE program are to increase environmental awareness of individuals throughout the world; to contribute to a better scientific understanding of the earth; and to help students reach higher levels of achievement in science and mathematics. ECSU hosts GLOBE training activities for North Eastern North Carolina Teachers. Hampton University is a GLOBE training site.

You Be the Scientist with Satellite Imagery (YBTS) The Satellite Imagery program allows students in 6 middle schools in the NC/VA region the opportunity to process raw satellite data from the GOES weather satellite in real time. The system allows student to manipulate HRPT image data from NOAA and NASA.

Langley Aerospace Research Summer Scholars (LARSS) Two primary elements of the LARSS Program are (1) a research project to be completed by each participant under the supervision of a researcher who will assume the role of mentor for the summer and (2) technical lectures by prominent engineers and scientists. More than 8 NRTS students have participated in the LARSS program

NASA/ASEE Faculty Fellowship Program(ASEE) The NASA/ASEE Faculty Fellowship Program is intended to further the professional knowledge of qualified engineering and science faculty members, to stimulate an exchange of ideas between teaching participants and employees of NASA, to enrich and refresh the research and teaching. More than 6 NRTS faculty have participated in the ASEE Program.

Other programs implemented or in which the NRTS has systemically implemented are:
PCs in space Sun Earth Conneection IGRASS 2000 ESS
Booth at NSTA GSFC Internships ERC
