The closing ceremonies were held in the K. E. White Graduate Center. Ms. Carmella Davis Watkins of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Office in Asheville, NC, spoke on careers in NOAA and the ways to prepare for them.

The students then repeated their best "Math Cheers", which had been given earlier in the day. Awards were given out for the best essays entitled "I Want to be Like Her", the Math Sprint Contest, and the math cheers.
