The NASA/NRTS program sponsored a community workshop for repairing and building computer systems at Elizabeth City State University the week of December 10th, 2001. The workshop was taught by Mr. Joal Hathaway, the Community Outreach Coordinator with the NASA/NRTS program at ECSU.

Participants were instructed on how to build a computer from the ground up and to install software. They were allowed to take the computers they they build for the price of the upgrade parts.
