The purpose of this visit was to familiarize the two students with the facilities and their mentors for upcoming internships during the summer of 2004. The first intern, Napoleon Paxton, will be studying with Dr.W. Judson Kenworthy on determining the depth of seagrass beds along the southern Outer Banks. The abstract by Dr. Kenworthy can be read here. The second intern, Karitsa Williams, will be studying with Dr. Aleta Hohn on the strandings of harbor porpoises.
