*Very active and on the move
In this photo students were attending the Northeastern Regional Science Fair at R.L. Vaughan Cernter,
Elizabeth City State Univeristy. One of their guest judges for the weather related projects was none
other than WAVY-TV 10 meterologist Mr. Jim Lawerence
Global Learning for the better of the environment is a great asset to our school in gathereing by the
minute data. Students are responsible for all data collected which is sent via internet to NASA.
Math is a great way to discuss science.The above and below photo shown is Project Skymath is my math class
with head coordinator Beverly Lynds. Students were assigned to convert temperature and record
data for a three week period. After this activity students gained a better understanding of what
temperature benchmarks represent.
Environmentally aware! In this photograph students from my 8th grade science class participated in
a Dismal Swanp fieldtrip. They were involved in environmental data research and water sampling.
It was a two day long experience where students spent the night at Elizabeth City State University.
We had a great time!!
We at ECMS are very proud about what we stand for excellent in education. We are
