Short Discussion of Research Conducted to Date:

In this work, the mobile phase was prepared by using a 61:35:4

ratio of distilled water, filtered methanol and acetic aid. The mobile

phase in the HPLC refers to the solvent being continuously applied to the

column, or stationary phase in this case, an octadecylsilane (C-18) column.

Using the mobile phase, the pure standards and mixture were eluted.

Chromatograms for the acetylsalicylic acid, caffeine and the mixture were

consistent with the compounds ran.
