My freshman year I accomplished my first goal which was to make the vice chancellors list. My sophmore year I was inducted into two honorary societies which are Kappa Delta Pi (An International Honorary Society in Education and Alpha Psi Omega (An honorary dramatic fraternity. I also performed my debut with the University Players that year which was "The Glass Menagerie". I also recieved the Outstanding Actress award at the Annual Jovan Awards that Spring. The other play that I performed in was entitled"It takes Two". I have participated in various backstage duties including light and music technican. I also received the Outstanding Technician award that Spring. Other work I have done with the University Players include co producing the one act plays in the Spring of 1998 and I was the stage manager for four different plays throughout my years with the University Players. I am now a member of the Mc Nairs Post Baccalaureate Achievement Program. Over the years I have received a total of two Vice Chancellor Awards and four Honor Roll Awards.
Starting this fall, I will begin my internship at Albermarle Hospital. Here I will gain some valuable experience as I work with the hospital social worker. This will be volunteer work but the experience that I will gain will be definetly worthwhile. I will continue this internship until March of 2000. After graduating from ECSU, I plan to attend either Norfolk State University or East Carolina University to begin working on my Master's degree in Social Work. This degree will enable me to do the work that I really enjoy doing which is counseling persons with various problems. My far future goals includes pursing my doctoral degree in social work. This degree will enable me to teach social work on a University level.
The Lord send his Angels to protect of us from harm. So keep your head upd up high and know that with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on our side, we will always be in good hands. POEM
